Here are five stories from last week that really caught my eye:
The Mexican avocado growers and packers association spent big money on a Super Bowl ad last week, but the U.S. suspended all avocado imports just hours before the commercial aired. Thankfully, that suspension has been lifted already!
How Heinz made up “57 varieties” and continues to make it a critical part of its identity.
The pandemic recession has impacted dual-earner couples much differently than the Great Recession.
Are you part of 90% of the country that loves the post office? Did you know that it isn’t a public good? Find out more…
Week 7 is over and I’m still at 5 books for the year. I meant what I said last week when I said I have a bad habit of starting new books and letting them pile up. This past week I started a new book on the economic issues of chocolate in West Africa.
I’ll make a promise to all of you that I will actually finish some books this week and give you a real check-in next week. I can make that promise because I only have about 75 pages left of two books that I’m reading and should be able to knock them out soon. More to (hopefully) come soon.
