Any guesses on what new shortages we’ll see next month? Leave a comment and let me know!
Yesterday I wrote about the rationale behind the Interior Department’s decision to ban single-use items from national parks and public lands:
Week 23 is over and I’m up to 20 books for the year. Last week I (finally) finished up Made to Stick. Chip and Dan Heath look at the similarities around various stories and ideas to determine what common elements help people remember the message. Dan Heath was the keynote speaker at a teaching symposium I attended a couple of years ago and I thought the book would be a good motivator for improving how I teach my classes.
I’ve already implemented some of the key ideas in my Monday newsletter and it has given me some ideas on how to change up some of my lessons in the Fall. There were A LOT of stories and examples throughout the book, which helped a bunch. Some parts were a bit repetitive, but overall it was worth reading if you’re in a teaching/marketing position.
