Week 18 is over and I’m up to 14 books for the year. I just finished a book on creating more informative infographics, which I hope I can use in my classes to help students with their data visualizations. Sometimes my students think what we’re doing falls more in line with graphic design (it doesn’t), but I hope that by referencing the Wall Street Journal’s guide they’ll realize how important good visualizations are!
I also just finished The Thursday Morning Murder Club, which focuses on a group of retirement home residents who solve murders in their English town. I actually saw the sequel at Barns & Noble a couple of months ago and that’s what convinced me to read the first book in the series. It was a pretty traditional murder mystery but starred senior citizen detectives instead.
