Hi, y’all! Here are my favorites stories from the past week:

1. Over three-quarters of surveyed managers said they’d fire or cut pay for workers who don’t come back to the office.

2. An Augusta family keeps turning down millions of dollars for their 1,900-square-foot house.

3. You’re not crazy! There are fewer varieties of some of your pantry staples as companies cut back on variety amid the supply chain crunch.

4. The Henley Passport Index ranks all of the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa.

5. Black women are evicted at three times their share of the population, more than any other racial or ethnic demographic.

Week 14 is over and I’m at 11 books for the year. I wrapped up The Data Detective by Tim Harford and really enjoyed it. Its premise was that the old How to Lie with Statistics book is an inappropriate way to think about data analysis. Harford provides a set of ten principles that can help people interpret research and data they see presented in the news. The book is modeled a lot on his podcast More or Less.

I’ve got a couple of other books in the queue that I hope to wrap up soon. Spring is finally starting to settle in and I think it’ll soon be time to bust out the ol’ hammock.
